CityView has adopted the latest consumer technology on the market from a company called Estimote. Estimote developed an advanced smart beacon that is much larger than the size of a quarter. These beacons pair to your cell phone through a low energy Bluetooth connection. We will be placing these beacons throughout our feature venues in different cities so our app can talk to your phone. These beacons are the secret recipe that automates our social media application. Instead of having to manually update your facebook or nightlife app by typing in your current or future location, our beacons will do it for you. Without even pulling out your phone, your status will update to the name of your current venue.          These will also be helpful at large music festivals where there are multiple stages involved and you need help locating a group of friends. Another example of practical use for this application would be in the sporting world at golf or tennis matches. Different beacons will update your status depending what hole or tennis court you are currently wacthing at the time. The opportunities these beacons bring to the table are endless and we have just begun to scratch the surface of them!
